“If You Have Enthusiasm, A Positive Attitude And A Passion For Health And Fitness, I Have A £10/hr, Fun And Fulfilling Personal Training Position Just For You!”

Hello Prospective Personal Trainer!

First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit our website. It’s my hope you have precisely what I need in a personal trainer so I can take this page down immediately, and put you to work in the fun and rewarding position I have available.

You should have arrived here because you saw my advert online that reads like this:

''Personal Trainer, £10/hr, excellent attitude, people person, growth opportunities.''

So let me tell you about me, my company and the Personal Trainer position.

My name is Amy Oldfield and I run a fitness and nutrition company called Empowered Fitness in Bristol.

My business is dedicated to helping primarily women to achieve their weight loss goals and improve their health through personalised nutrition and fitness programs.

We opened our training studio in Southville in September 2016 and we are now recruiting an additional trainer to join our team.

I'm looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person to start training some of our current clients and take on new clients.

We offer Semi Private training (2-4 people) and 1 to 1 training. We educate, motivate, and support people through their weight loss journey so they can lead a better lifestyle, with improved health and fitness.

All clients begin with an initial 3, 6 or 12 month training programme, which includes nutrition advice, exercise programme design, regular fitness assessments and lifestyle guidance, all here at our studio.

When hired for this part-time Personal Trainer position, you'll begin training clients and working alongside me and my team in the studio 5 days a week for 38.5 hours per week (varying shifts of 4-10 hours per day), between Monday to Saturday.

Bottom line: You’ll get 38.5 hours of work per week in a part-time fully employed salaried position at £20,020 per annum, with paid overtime, where you will receive full mentorship and you won't need to find our own clients or pay any rent to the studio. In return, I just ask that you work exclusively with Empowered Fitness clients. You will have the opportunity to increase your working hours gradually and go full-time when you’re ready. The studio offers a clean, fun and friendly environment, with nice training equipment, and the opportunity to learn the inner-workings of a successful personal training business.

Oh yeah, I’m also very fair, respectful, and appreciative. I like having fun and providing highly valuable fitness services and products. You will be compensated fairly, treated fairly, and I will certainly look for ways to pay you more for your efforts if they warrant it. I want someone who enjoys working with people and making a difference in the lives of others…because that’s what we do in my studio.

Required Outcomes

  • Develop comprehensive health and fitness programs for clients. You’ll receive coaching and training on our fitness systems, but you’ll have the flexibility to incorporate your training style and knowledge.

  • Tracking client progress. To ensure a client's success in our programs, you'll need to track weekly progress, current successes and challenges, review client nutrition and exercise logs, and more on a weekly basis. It will be your job to hold a client accountable to his/her health and fitness program to ensure the best results possible. If client’s are getting great results, you will be responsible for asking them to write a sterling testimonial for you.

  • Perform fitness evaluations. Ideally, you'll have some fitness assessment skills and can test for: body composition, body weight, girth measurements, blood pressure, heart rate, and various strength and mobility tests. You do not need previous experience, but if you do, that's a bonus.

  • Coach clients through their program. You'll be responsible for weekly exercise sessions and tracking progress on the clients you’re working with. If a client is having challenges throughout his/her programme, you'll coach and motivate them, and make appropriate changes to ensure consistent progress.

  • Demonstrate proper exercise instruction. This is a big one. I need you to be able to provide proper coaching, instruction, and motivation during a client training session. You should have a working knowledge of the human body (i.e. muscles, movements, functions, etc.), and be able to provide appropriate exercises for client’s goals.

  • Deliver class A training sessions and results, which increases retention and promotes referrals. When our clients are achieving great results and enjoying their training they stick around for a long time and they tell their friends and family about us. You’ll be responsible for helping to grow our client base by maintaining an acceptable client renewal rate and generating referrals each month.

  • Provide ongoing health and fitness education. Our clients rely on us to service all of their health and fitness needs. It is your job as a Personal Trainer to provide your clients with health and fitness education on various topics that empower them to lead healthy lives forever.  You'll be provided with educational tools and resources, be expected to study them, and speak about them with your clients.
